Meant to Be
Known each other for years
Friends since you were kids
Water fights in the fields
Stuffing your faces like pigs.
Growing up together
Like brother and sister you were,
With a friendship like yours
Anything could occur.
Now the times have changed
Ten years down the line,
Still so close as friends
Everything’s going just fine.
Doing everything together
As young adults you change
Your feelings have grown stronger
Now you have no one to blame.
Realising your feelings,
Your love for him is true,
Thinking of him day and night,
Just don’t know what to do.
What’s meant to be will be,
You both know how you feel,
This hasn’t changed your friendship,
At least that’s solid and real.
