REBECCA’S BIRTHDAY POEM

Sorry, sorry, sorry –

Do you remember those few words

‘Twas the beginning of our friendship

Which I hope goes on for years.

Stopping to give me a “kuggle”

No one could understand

Why we stopped in the road

Mother and child watching hand in hand.

You’re so hyperactive

It’s a strain to keep you calm

You change your hair colour every week

It really brings out your charm.

You always say you’ll be good

And stay in to do some work

But you really HAVE  to go out

So you can have a drink and flirt.

You’re far to easily persuaded,

You say “I’ll be there at 9”

Then you arrive two hours later

Have you ever been good with time?

What I love about you most

Is that you don’t care about the time

I can ring you at any hour

If I woke you you’d say “It’s fine”.

You’re always ready to listen

However important or boring

You’ll let me go on for hours on end

Then I’ll hear down the phone you’re snoring.

It’s only a joke, you’re the best

A true friend you really are

I adore you for everything you’ve done

You’re just such a sweet little star.
