ABBIE
Abbie, Abbie, Abbie,
The time has now come
For me to write you a poem
And thank you for all you’ve done.
13 months is all it is
The difference between our age
Sometimes it seems like more
But you’ve been there at every stage.
You have always been my sister
And sisters you cannot pick
Friends on the other hand you can
But you’re my best and with that I’ll stick.
You have always been there throughout
All those silly fights with friends
Problems with boys and stuff too
You were always setting the trends.
The last 19 years have been great
But now I appreciate you more so
Knowing what it’s like to be away
I know we will never let go.
I can’t really put into words
How very much you’ve helped me
Learning to live alone
Nothing comes for free.
Abbie, we share a bond
I know we always have
And now it’s growing stronger still
Learning through good and bad.
What I’m trying to say is
You’re my very bestest friend
A mother and sister too you are
And I love time together we spend.
I really want to say I love you
And thankyou for all you’ve done
I hope your dreams in the future come true
So we can continue to have great fun.
