"The book was amazing. it was lovely to feel like i was having a conversation with vicks again. it really conveyed the fact that she was such a fun-loving and friendly person, with such a positive outlook on life, when so much was going on below the surface that most of us just didnt realise. she really is an inspiration to us all".

I received a copy of Torti's book as a Mother Day's gift from my son Greg. Although I never had the priviledge of meeting Torti in person, I felt a sense of who this lovely young lady was as I read her story. Having a daughter the same age as Torti, and who was diagnosed with PAH in October, 2002, reading Torti's story was a truly emotional experience. Sometimes I laughed and sometimes I cried. Thank you for sharing Victoria's story.

You know when you start a book and you can not put it down? Well this book was one of them. I read it in 2 nights. It was a fascinating insight in to victorias life.It was like reading about a different person, not the girl that i knew. To see what victoria and her family went through really made me appreciate my family more and realize how lucky i am to have had 3 wonderful and healthy children. It also made me understand more about her condition which i suppose is what she would have wanted.

I can honestly say that i would definitly reccomend this book. I have already lent it to two friends who did not know Torti, and they have found it fascinating too.

I met Abbie, Victoria's sister, while she was at University in the states. I remember telling her how I had a 20 year old sister with a "rare lung disease." When Abbie said "Pulmonary Hypertension," I coudln't believe it; she told me about Victoria. I had never met anyone who's sibling was in the same situation. Abbie always spoke so highly of Victoria, and her autobiography only reaffirms how wonderful of a person she was. I am amazed at how well she coped with such adversity at a young age.

She never lost her sense of humor, and on many occasions rose above the odds when most would crumble. Victoria's autobiography shows the true Torti and why everyone loved her. I hope more people have an opportunity to read it.

My daughters & i have just finished reading Victoria's book, Which we found very interesting after losing a Husband &Father to pulmonary hypertension in Nov 1997. Victoria's book is an inspiration and would be an inspiration to anyone finding themselves in this situation.

She had a fantastic sense of humour even after everything she was going through, she was a very brave young lady and I'm sure the great support of her family helped her immensely. May we take this opportunity to wish Victoria's family all the best for the future.

I knew who Victoria was from King David, I knew some of her friends quite well. I never realised what was going on. I recently lost my friend Robert Broude to cancer, he was 19. I was not coping too well it has only been 2 months.

My father had been given Victoria's book by someone else. He said he thought it would help me to read it. It did. I can’t tell you how much. Due to the similarities between her and my friend, I now understand the way he was and things he didbecause of Victoria and I will be passing it on to my other friends as I believe it will help them in a way nothing else I have come across can.

Thank you so much Victoria for your help, and thank you to all who supported her as I know how hard it can be.

Reading Victoria's book has reminded me of the incredible bravery and good humour she showed despite being faced with the most testing of circumstances. She really was the most remarkable person. I miss her every day and looking back at her story reminds me just how proud I am to have known her and even more to so to be able to call her a friend. Torti will never ever be forgotten in our hearts.

I received Victoria's book on Saturday morning and couldn't put it down. I was reduced to tear on a number of occasions. She was a remarkable young woman who is an inspiration to me and everyone of the people's lives she touched. I didn't know Victoria and was only made aware of her story by an article in a local newspaper, but instantly was drawn to read her book.

My life has been an ongoing battle and has been hard to even get out of bed of a morning. However, there is always someone a lot worse off than yourself who manages to stay strong and bright. I am such a better person after reading Vic.

I finished Victoria's book last night and have to say i had tears in my eyes . what an inspiration she was and was so positive in so many things she did, I knew Victoria from treating her in Sheffield and she was always so full of life and always had some tale to tell me in clinic. I think the word " Dizzy" was mentioned a lot due to her scatty nature and she always had such a bright smile for everyone no matter how down she was feeling. She is very sadly missed . x

This is a very special autobiography about a very special young lady. I have just finished reading the book and although I only met Victoria a few times I know she had a tremendous enthusiasm for life. This is quite evident in the many different things that I have read and in the things I saw her doing at the PHA conference in Cambridge. Here she talked with confidence to numerous people, many of whom I am sure she had just met, me included.

She danced and karaoked the night away until the early hours and was one of the last to leave. As mentioned several times in the book Victoria loved to party and this was shown to the full here. Bryan, Susan and all the family will have fond memories and be smiling when they think of all the many good times they had with Victoria.

As a parent of a little boy with PPH I know just how much of a tight rope we all walk. No matter whether we suffer from PH, are a carer, family member, friend or medical professional I think all will agree that Victoria's story is an inspiration to us all.

Victoria's life was full of events. Some good and some bad but the overall picture is one of a girl who came to terms with her medical condition and lived life to the full. Her determination to succeed and lead a life as near normal as possible shines through in the events she has told in the book.

Throughout Victoria’s life she had the love and care of a wonderful family and friends. Victoria will be sadly missed but never forgotten.
