My Hero
Professor Howard is his name
A very special person is he,
A gifted man in many ways
A saviour, in the case of me.
As a newborn baby my life was threatened
So then I was transferred to hospital
T’was the Kings College in London
I was put in their care for a while.
At the age of seven weeks
I was given a life-saving op
It was performed by this special man
Telling Mum and Dad not to give up.
He carried out another op
Thank G-d both going down well
From then on I was kept in
For five to six months, till they could tell.
Was I going to pull through?
The fight was long and tough
But worse for my parents I’m sure
Not knowing if my strength was enough.
Eighteen years on thank G-d
I’m well and living happily
It’s all been thanks to Prof. Howard
He put life back into me.
My thanks to him is eternal
And words could not express
What he’s done for hundreds of people
Although for me I think he did best.
